Brother Albert R. Brown, 70, of Rison, died Saturday, March 6, 2010 at home. He was born September 4, 1939 in Taylor, Arkansas, son of Roy Lee Brown, Sr. and Era Estelle Umphries Brown. Brother Brown was reared and received his early education in Bradley, Arkansas, graduating from Bradley High School. He served Arkansas as a Missionary Baptist minister for many years, becoming inactive in 2003. Brother Brown was a member of Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Anthony "Tony" Brown; three brothers, R.L. Brown, Jr., D.D. Brown and Carl Gene Brown; and sister, Estelle Hill. Survivors include his wife, Frances Elizabeth Reeme Brown, whom he married September 26, 1958 at Stateline Missionary Baptist Church in Taylor, Arkansas; three daughters, Dana (Ronald) Young of Rison, Tammy (Tim) Hogan of Rison and LaMonica (Larry) Brown of Rowell; two sisters, Clara Harris of Little Rock and Sue Hudgeons of Springhill, Louisiana; nine grandchildren, Jason Young, Tiffany King, Kandyce Shalmy, Brittneigh Morris, Reba Post, Destiney Powell, Kassi Carr, Morgan Brown and Madison Brown; nine great-grandchildren, Triston Young, Sidney Young, Sara Beth Young, Jasmine King, Kyleigh King, Chandler Shalmy, Abbigail Morris, Jakob Morris and John Brendon Post and two step-great-grandchildren, Holly Morris and Zach Morris. Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Tuesday, March 9, 2010 in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son with Brother John Nations and Brother Jackie Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday evening at Robinson's from 6-8 PM.
