Jacquelyn "Jackie" Marie Hensarling Hooker, 76, of Pine Bluff, passed away Saturday, March 6, 2010, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born March 3, 1934, in Dickens, Texas, she was a daughter of the late J. B. and Velma Collins Hensarling. She was reared and received her early education in southern Mississippi. During childhood, her family relocated to Arkansas, where she graduated from White Hall High School.
Mrs. Hooker worked as a bookkeeper for Hutt Building Materials for thirty-three years. In her spare time and during her retirement, she enjoyed cooking, painting and flower gardening.
She was an active member of St. Luke's United Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School for eighteen years and was a member of the choir.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, L. E. Hensarling and her sister, Marian Hensarling.
She is survived by her husband of thirty-three years, Jimmy Hooker; her son Michael Oldner, of Little Rock; one grandson; and a host of church family, loved ones and friends.
Funeral Services will be held 2:00 P.M., Wednesday, March 10, 2010, in the Chapel of Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Home with Reverend James Conn officiating. Burial will follow in Hooker Cemetery in Hooker-Ladd Community, Jefferson County. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M.
